I knew there would be a cost. Most merfolk don't want to live on land, but luckily there are a lot of resources for those that do. For example, the bootcamp I attended. There is also another organization that pays for mine and the twins potions for now in order to encourage more merfolk to try life on land. I like it on land... I do not particularly wish to go back to the Coral Sea.

[Envy has already started gathering things back into the bag now that he's found what he wants, and he was going to offer it to Azul to see if he was interested in becoming bestocking'd as well but it would seem there is a more pressing matter to attend to. He glances up at Azul with a "what do we do?" type look, brows knit in mild concern.]

[His eyes shoot up to the two of them watching him and he loses all sense of what to do. They're probably worried now and he's about to over-think himself into exhaustion so he just gives in and leans over, laying down on the bed next to them. He can hide his face away from them this way, but still be close by.]

[Runs that hand along his side and back before settling on playing with his hair]

[Envy moves from his place in Azul's lap so he can sit further down the bed and give them space. He's not exactly sure how to handle Nanami in this mood and he doesn't want to make it worse by opening his mouth and saying something stupid or unhelpful.]

[He turns his head so he can watch Envy moving away. And when that gets to be a strain he turns over completely to face them.]

I got lost somewhere familiar, I felt like I was with some old friends. I haven't thought about those days in a long time.

Tell me more about your school, Azul?

[Digs in the bag before offering out two options for Envy to pick between for him, stretching his legs out toward the sin]

Let's see....my school is located on the Isle of Sages. Our rival school is on the same small island. And there is a little town between the two schools that we can go visit on weekends. I don't really go into town though. I spend a lot of time inside the school... I can't go home during winter break because it's too hard to swim home during that time. However, I have had the opportunity to go a number of other interesting places....by choice and against my will. Not too long ago, I was actually able to attend a
red carpet movie premiere. Which is funny considering before coming to live on land I had never even seen a movie.

Nah, nah. I'm here. Azul's here. We're not goin' anywhere. [Aw, Nanami. That look actually kinda moved him a little. Envy reaches out to rub his leg above the knee, giving his thigh a pat and squeeze while he considers Azul's stock options. He points out the cream colored ones because they match his pink ones, and he's developed quite the affinity for matchies lately.]

A "movie premiere"? [It's times like this he remembers that he's so far removed from this universe's modern society where he comes from.] Velvet took me to see a "movie" but I don't know if it was a "premiere" or not.

[The praise for Azul comes naturally, but it's a good sign that he's feeling a little more normal. He's watching this sock ritual and wondering if he's going to be getting them next.]

Premiere is what they call it the first time they show a movie in theaters for everyone. Unless the movie was made here in the afterlife, it's unlikely you saw a premiere.

Mm, Jamil and I were simply there as part of Vil’s entourage. Still, it was nice to receive the celebrity treatment. We had our hair, makeup and wardrobe taken care of for us.

[Wiggles his toes a bit before laying down as well, letting Envy maneuver his legs as needed]

[He gestures towards the bag and then towards Nanami, signalling him to pick his pair now while Envy works on helping Azul get his on. He scoots closer to the mer again and pulls his feet, one at a time, into his lap to tug the warm knit up his long, slender legs.]

Oooh, well, well. The prettiest, most famous boy at school is taking you around to do fancy famous people things? Look at you~

[He looks in the bag and doesn't end up picking anything out.]

I'm surprised you weren't the prettiest, most famous boy at school. Did someone else in your school manage to trick more people at once than you did? You're more than famous, you're infamous.

[Nanami puts his hand into one of the thigh highs and stretches it a bit.]

My looks are rather average compared to many of my schoolmates. Same with fame… The number of princes and celebrities on the island is absurd.

[Looks through the bag for a black pair for Nanami]

And no, no one has managed to match me in that area. My best score was 225 people with a single deal. I’m rather proud of it.

That's what I said, Nanami. How is he not the most gorgeous person there? And whoever handed off that title to that Evil guy clearly needs his eyes checked or something because he is blind if he can't see what we see.

[But now Envy is positively swooning at Azul's headcount of poor unfortunate souls, twisting around in the bed to flop down between them on his back, belly up like a cat. One of his legs drapes over one of Nanami's, counting this as inclusion much in the way an actual cat would.]

I think you sell yourself short, darling, there's no definitive ranking of anyone's beauty out there.

[Once Envy asks more more details he's back to listening quietly, it's easier when he's not feeling at ease with things to just let Envy and Azul do what they want. He doesn't understand why either of them are putting socks on at all considering they both deliberately dressed lightly. This is some kind of ritual he doesn't understand and doesn't want to ask about.]

I would offer to show you photos, but I have a feeling you would still disagree with me. That said… Of course I am more than a little happy you both think so highly of my appearance. If you both like how I look then I do not particularly care how I stack up against others.

[Laces his fingers with Nanami’s, holding one of his hands while he talks]

Oh, the usual, eternal servitude at the lounge. I offered to ensure they would pass with over 80 points and as long as they made it into the top 50 my help would be free…. They all failed to ask how many people I gave the same deal to. Most of them were bound to lose from the start.

[Envy cackles with delight, rolling over and sitting up to grab Azul's face and give him a big, almost cartoonish smooch. With the "Muah!" sound and everything.]

[Chuckles quietly, reaching up to frame Envy's face and kissing him back with a little smooch~]

Mmhmmmm~ People never read closely enough. Though...for eternity is a bit of an exaggeration. I was kind enough to make it 'servitude until they graduate' and taking a special skill or ability from them as collateral.

[Sits up, crawling over to settle on Nanami's lap, before laying down on top of him, folding his arms against Nanami's chest before teasing gently]

If you are going to say that I expect you to say how we seem to belong together too.

[Envy rolls to face them, maneuvering under Nanami's arm to curl up against his side so he too can snuggle and also have a good view of Azul from here.]

I was gonna say, Nanami~ [He purrs, tilting his head up to watch him, drawing little circles on his chest.]

[His wings floof up at the contact, expressing the excitement he keeps to himself otherwise.]

[Chuckling low in his chest, he nuzzles up along Nanami's jawline, careful not to cut himself on it and nipping at his ear.]

[He wraps an arm around Envy letting his hand settle on his ass. His other hand makes its way into Azul's hair.]
