Mm, I figured as much. However, if I give him too many of those things at once, he'll be suspicious. I am giving him all that, but in doses that won't make him immediately resistant to accepting it. If I were to shower all that on one person without asking for anything in return, wouldn't it be natural to worry what I am up to...? I know how I come across. And that's hardly an accident, but it does make things like this a bit trickier.

I'm familiar enough with jealousy to know how suddenly being handed everything you want can seem like quite the trap and a scary one at that. He'll wind up unable to enjoy it and be stuck on edge waiting for the other shoe to drop.

And...he doesn't lie all that much around me. Not really. If anything, I lie far more than he does, but through omission and word choice.

The way he's going? What way would that be? I think the suggestion that I am influencing his trajectory gives me far too much credit, but I will take it. A man can guess, but I prefer to know.

Oh, my ideas get far crazier than this.

That said. If you're willing to just give me the information then.... What's the problem? Not that I plan on it, of course. Not that I think there would be another blow up, but I don't really plan to put those two in the same room if I'm not there to mediate.

Color me curious though. Are you worried about Envy getting hurt again? Or Nanami? Someone else? Or just feeling possessive in general? Does it simply put you in a difficult position with him? Such a strange warning over a little bit of paperwork you don't care about. So what's the concern? I think it's fine to tell me that much at least.

[The 'Nest is in its sleeping hours, but that doesn't mean the front door isn't open. Greed's on a sofa in the back, hair down (for once), feet propped up, and a glass of brandy in his hand. It's been one hell of a night for sure. And he had been planning on enjoying the rest of it solo.]

[So, call him very fucking surprised when someone rudely interrupts.]

[The Sin lifts his chin. Without his sunglasses (and with the bar as dim as it is), his eyes are just tiny pricks of red light. Like a cat's lenses, reflecting back.]

Didn't expect you this soon. [Greed hums.] What, did I really piss you off that bad?
