[He sighs a little and makes sure both of them are settled in a comfortable spot.]

I'm sure it is strange, but strange doesn't have to be bad. You don't have to tell me anything you're uncomfortable about, just know that seeing you like this has not diminished my interest in you at all. After all, the first time you showed me your other arms I was worried I may have been a little too interested in them. I didn't want to scare you, or make you think I was only interested in your body. I don't know a lot about octopus biology, and none about merman biology, but as long as it's attached to you I know it will be fine.

We can always just go for a swim and then finish our date on land, also. I do still have a present for you waiting up there.
