Mmm...perhaps truth or dare? Never have I ever? I also have a collection of board games. We could play Monopoly? It got banned from boardgame club, so I have not been able to play it in quite some time.

[Glances back to catch a glimpse of the ends of Envy's hair disappearing around the corner. Arches an eyebrow, curious, before turning his attention to sliding his hand into Nanami's night shirt so he can pet at bare skin]

Mm, he sounds fine... I guess we will see what he brings back?

[He skitters back a moment later with his bag in tow, tossing it and himself up onto the bed so he can rummage through it for whatever it is he's looking for. Out come various styles of stockings and straps, various pieces that Envy has stolen from Velvet's room, but most importantly a bag of heart shaped gummies in different colors and flavors.]

Alright, so. I cannot eat these, they'll go to waste if I do. It's basically an incinerator in here. [He pats his tum and cackles.] Nothing to digest, no fun. Soooo, I figured I'd get you guys to try'em out, especially since we're not gonna be loosening up with any spirits any time soon. Whaddaya say~?

I've heard they're pretty fuuuun~

[Wrapping his arms around Azul and picking him up. He only carries him as far as the bed before he's set down again so they can all look through Envy's new mystery bag.]

What... is all of this? What are you giving us that you can't have?

[Once he's set down, he'll crawl on the bed to settle behind Envy, arms going around the sin's waist and chin resting on his shoulder as Azul leans forward to look with Nanami...charmed that his lizard is absolutely a little klepto]

I could probably manage a potion that could have an effect on you, if you'd like. Not tonight, obviously. I'm hardly dressed for potion work.

[Grinning proudly with his spoils, he wiggles back into Azul to fit comfortably against his body.]

Ooh, put a pin in that. We will definitely come back to potions later. [His magical alchemist sea witch boyfriend is so talented and helpful, Envy is so blessed.]

They're gummies, babe! [He's positively beaming at Nanami, holding the bag open for him to take one. Clearly Envy has already imbibed something while he was away, because he's in a way chiller mood than he was when he left.] They'll get you a little silly, but they'll mmmostly just relax you and make you feel a little... floaty! At least, that's what I've been told. And I just think we could all use a little floaty, right now~

[He doesn't associate 'gummy' with drugs. So he takes one and chews it up. He shrugs.]

Doesn't taste that good.

What sort of potions do you like making, darling?

[He sits on the bed with them, still a little ways away.]

What sort....? All sorts, actually. Even if alchemy is my best subject, potions is right behind it. Even with the lounge and all my other businesses, I'm always in the top ten at school. When I have more time, I'm able to snag the number one spot from the one and only Riddle Rosehearts himself.

Potions though...it was the first sort of magic I started studying. My grandmother would help me after school... She was a tough teacher, but I learned a fair bit from her guidance.

[Tightens an arm around Envy's waist to keep him from wriggling too far away, otherwise relaxing against his back after one deep breath out. Shoulders nice and low with Envy and Nanami getting along so well like this. He will reach out his free hand to lace his and Nanami's fingers]

The potion I tend to spend the most time on is the one for legs. Potions that alter the body like that are highly controlled and regulated due to the dangers that could come from one being poorly made.

That said, because of that, the potion the twins and I need to live on land like this is extremely expensive. It used to be that we needed to take one every three days, but there have been advancements that we only need to take one once a week.

[While Azul prattles on (affectionate), Envy is fishing around in his bag, locating several styles of thigh high stockings and picking out his favorite to slip on while the others are talking.]

Top ten? [He whistles-- or at least starts to before he starts getting wrangled and put in his place as Azul's living plushie. As much as he loves to cuddle, he does have to remember that parts of his demon body are less suited for the task, so he must change that up before he forgets. Not wanting to startle Azul with the possibility of getting shocked, he leans forward just enough to make his horns disappear in a shower of red sparks so he can settle more comfortably in the curve of the mer's body.]

I always forget you have to have a potion to get legs. But, does that mean you have to do that, here? I just realized I've never seen you drink a potion about it.

[Want a gummy, Azul?]

[Nanami listens to Azul, nodding along. But as he watches Envy pull stockings out he gets distracted and fixates on that instead. He reaches out to help Envy get them pulled up all the way, gentle and careful with them.]

Top ten is impressive, although I should ask out of how many in your class. It's far less impressive to hear that I was the top of my class in technical school when you find out I was the only student of my year who survived to graduation.

[He's said it before he thought it through all the way and between the implication that Azul isn't as smart as he says he is and the dropping of his dead classmate in the middle of things he freezes up. Neither of those things are topics he wants to talk about and he is just struck silent, hands frozen where they were poised to help Envy fit the toe of the stocking to his toes properly.]

It's true that when you get to third and fourth year, quite a few students couldn't rise to the potential the Dark Mirror saw in them. However, second year is still quite full... And my excellence is not just limited to my class or my grade.

To be fair, I have been studying much longer than many of the students there. That is...my magic manifested very young. There are very few merfolk compared to land dwellers. And on top of that, even fewer develop any sort of magic. My mother and biological father were strong mages in their own right. Though my grandmother outclasses them by far.

[Reaches down to help adjust the top of Envy's stockings, before leaning forward and opening his mouth to receive the offered gummy]

As for the potion, I have not needed it since I died. You all had your natural forms altered upon arriving here....as did I. I do not miss having to take it, despite being expensive and complicated, it was still incredibly painful. There were many times it felt as though I was walking on glass.

[He can't help but wince for a second at Nanami's casual lore drop there, but he keeps his questions to himself, simply listening to Azul continue while his attention drifts from Nanami's frozen hand to the "why the hell did i say that" look on his face. He wiggles his foot in a silent bid to get his attention, as to not interrupt Azul and let Nanami know that He Is Seen, but he won't say a word.

When the fish finally stops to take a breath, he pops the gummy in Azul's mouth, settling back against him once everything is properly arranged.]

Eugh, that actually sounds like hell. You must have really wanted to be on land to go through all of that, huh?

[Nanami falls silent for a bit. It helps that Azul is happy to fill the silence but he's trying to get his head back together again. For a little while there he was feeling... younger. Like he was with different people in a different place again. And slamming himself back into his older, deader body is taking him a little bit to process.]

[He does go back to adjusting the toes on Envy's stockings but the movements are stiffer than they were when he was helping to put them on.]

[Unfortunately he also lost track of what Azul was saying.]

[Chews the gummy before speaking again, humming to show he heard the question]

I knew there would be a cost. Most merfolk don't want to live on land, but luckily there are a lot of resources for those that do. For example, the bootcamp I attended. There is also another organization that pays for mine and the twins potions for now in order to encourage more merfolk to try life on land. I like it on land... I do not particularly wish to go back to the Coral Sea.

[...reaches out to curl his fingers around Nanami's bicep, rubbing the other man's arm with just enough pressure to be felt...to hopefully ground him a little.]

[Envy has already started gathering things back into the bag now that he's found what he wants, and he was going to offer it to Azul to see if he was interested in becoming bestocking'd as well but it would seem there is a more pressing matter to attend to. He glances up at Azul with a "what do we do?" type look, brows knit in mild concern.]

[His eyes shoot up to the two of them watching him and he loses all sense of what to do. They're probably worried now and he's about to over-think himself into exhaustion so he just gives in and leans over, laying down on the bed next to them. He can hide his face away from them this way, but still be close by.]

I'm sorry. I don't know what... happened.

[Runs that hand along his side and back before settling on playing with his hair]

Nothing to be sorry for... Is there anything we can do? To help right now?

[Envy moves from his place in Azul's lap so he can sit further down the bed and give them space. He's not exactly sure how to handle Nanami in this mood and he doesn't want to make it worse by opening his mouth and saying something stupid or unhelpful.]

Please don't go...

[He turns his head so he can watch Envy moving away. And when that gets to be a strain he turns over completely to face them.]

I got lost somewhere familiar, I felt like I was with some old friends. I haven't thought about those days in a long time.

[And before anyone can ask, he wants to change the subject.]

Tell me more about your school, Azul?

We aren't going anywhere, right? Envy?

[Digs in the bag before offering out two options for Envy to pick between for him, stretching his legs out toward the sin]

Let's see....my school is located on the Isle of Sages. Our rival school is on the same small island. And there is a little town between the two schools that we can go visit on weekends. I don't really go into town though. I spend a lot of time inside the school... I can't go home during winter break because it's too hard to swim home during that time. However, I have had the opportunity to go a number of other interesting places....by choice and against my will. Not too long ago, I was actually able to attend a
red carpet movie premiere. Which is funny considering before coming to live on land I had never even seen a movie.

Nah, nah. I'm here. Azul's here. We're not goin' anywhere. [Aw, Nanami. That look actually kinda moved him a little. Envy reaches out to rub his leg above the knee, giving his thigh a pat and squeeze while he considers Azul's stock options. He points out the cream colored ones because they match his pink ones, and he's developed quite the affinity for matchies lately.]

A "movie premiere"? [It's times like this he remembers that he's so far removed from this universe's modern society where he comes from.] Velvet took me to see a "movie" but I don't know if it was a "premiere" or not.

That must have been exciting. You've already done so much in so short a time, you should be proud.

[The praise for Azul comes naturally, but it's a good sign that he's feeling a little more normal. He's watching this sock ritual and wondering if he's going to be getting them next.]

Premiere is what they call it the first time they show a movie in theaters for everyone. Unless the movie was made here in the afterlife, it's unlikely you saw a premiere.

Mm, Jamil and I were simply there as part of Vil’s entourage. Still, it was nice to receive the celebrity treatment. We had our hair, makeup and wardrobe taken care of for us.

[Wiggles his toes a bit before laying down as well, letting Envy maneuver his legs as needed]

[He gestures towards the bag and then towards Nanami, signalling him to pick his pair now while Envy works on helping Azul get his on. He scoots closer to the mer again and pulls his feet, one at a time, into his lap to tug the warm knit up his long, slender legs.]

Oooh, well, well. The prettiest, most famous boy at school is taking you around to do fancy famous people things? Look at you~

[He looks in the bag and doesn't end up picking anything out.]

I'm surprised you weren't the prettiest, most famous boy at school. Did someone else in your school manage to trick more people at once than you did? You're more than famous, you're infamous.

[Nanami puts his hand into one of the thigh highs and stretches it a bit.]

I don't think any of these will fit me.

My looks are rather average compared to many of my schoolmates. Same with fame… The number of princes and celebrities on the island is absurd.

[Looks through the bag for a black pair for Nanami]

And no, no one has managed to match me in that area. My best score was 225 people with a single deal. I’m rather proud of it.
