Of course. No rest for the wicked, even in death. I have something I wish to accomplish, so why wouldn't I already be setting up? Afterall, isn't that what I am bringing you in for?
[....well, he doesn't want to offend or embarrass him even if Envy can be a brat....so rather than pulling his hand away he'll hold out the other one]
[He can't pretend that he doesn't like Azul referring to himself as "wicked." But before he can even comment on that, he realizes he's being asked for that weird rectangle he got when he arrived.]
Oh, yeah! Right.
[Don't ask how he produces it from his bike shorts.]
Here you go. [The screen is somehow already cracked. Don't ask about that, either.]
Where's the chivalry anymore? I let you sit on top of me for hours and I still have to pay for my own drinks? Is that how you were taught treat your partners? You didn't even take me to dinner first. Unbelievable.
[He knows it wasn't hours and that he's still being a little shit, but he didn't see anything about that in the contract.]
[Looks a little uncomfortable, but. He's deciding he will be honest about his answer. For right now.]
I was "born" in a land-locked country. Never really traveled far outside of it, so I never got to see the ocean. Only ever saw it in books or on maps. Don't know why I'm surprised those never did it justice.
…its a hit hard to imagine. I’ve seen the ocean every single day for my entire life. Even after moving, I still see it every day, just from a new viewpoint.
That said. For all the ocean’s flaws….it is one of the most beautiful places you will ever go.
[He glances out towards the sea for a moment, and then back to Azul for what feels like a much longer moment before he returns his attention to the path ahead of them.]
The key is speaking with authority and not taking no for an answer.
[Proceeding to walk behind the bar like he owns it and giving instructions to the actual employee about how they need to be more on top of restocking the bar, especially with their annual performance review just around the corner.]
Ooh, careful, you don't want to spill all your secrets, do you?
[Envy waits patiently, more than happy to spend this time learning the way the being known as "Azul" moves; fluid and precise in a way he's never in nearly two centuries ever seen humans be. The smaller things, like the way he gestures and uses his hands, which hip he favors when he stands idle, the tilt of his chin when he speaks- no, commands others—
It's infuriating that someone could simply exist this way and Envy has to work for it. The world is so unfair. The afterlife even more so, even taking his ability to play pretend...
One or two secrets won't ruin me. You can have that one on the house. Consider it a welcoming gift of sorts. My generosity continues to know no bounds, I know.
[After sending off the employee off with a shopping list of supplies to restock as well as an order for new glasses (the ones the bar has are either too tacky or too plain), he'll turn his attention to gathering the ingredients he needs for Envy's drink. This may not be his lounge, but he moves around the little bar as though he owns it....perhaps the most comfortable he has seemed so far today, truly in his element. He talks as he works, hands moving as fast as his mouth.]

Your phone. So I can add my number.

Oh, yeah! Right.
[Don't ask how he produces it from his bike shorts.]
Here you go. [The screen is somehow already cracked. Don't ask about that, either.]

Now we can get ahold of each other more easily.
no subject
[Takes it back and peers curiously at the message... Hopefully it's not something terrible-]
no subject
[Just stares right at him and smiles, daring him to say something]
no subject
And instead pulls himself up using Azul's hand, also brushing sand off of himself.]
Well, I guess that's that, then, since you don't plan to "work" today. I guess I should let you get back to your day off.

Oh? [Bringing his hand to his chest.]

That said....
[Bows slightly at the waist, holding his hand out once more]
My apologies for being cold. I would love to have your company, if you'd like to join me.
no subject
He stares at that hand for a moment, and then looks... pleasantly surprised.]
Well then, that's more like it.
[This is the closest you'll get to a wag out of him, his stupid gator tail swaying back and forth when he takes Azul's hand.]
It would be my pleasure.

[As they walk a tentacle will grab the basket behind them, just out of view]
no subject
Just Greed's place. The "Devil's Nest." I haven't bothered looking around Heaven, though. Seems a little... [Frowns.] ..."High End" for my taste.
Came straight here; wanted to see what the ocean looked like.
no subject
What do you mean ‘what the ocean looked like’?

I think I could get used to it.
[Ew, what was that?]
Is this one anything like the one you know?
no subject
[The tentacle sets the basket down on a beach chair before disappearing as they approach the main part of the beach]
What sort of drink would you like?
no subject
Eh, I'm flexible. Surprise me~
[He'd not been much of a drinker before dying, so really he doesn't have a preference. Plus he's kind of curious to see what Azul thinks he'd like...]
no subject
[Considers the list of seasonal drinks before raising a hand politely and ordering for them both]
Do you like sweet things?
no subject
He also maybe is enjoying this whole... being treated thing. And since it's off the clock it's not necessarily an obligation, so...
They're just?? Hanging out?? Weird. ]
As long as it's strong~
no subject
Very well then... Strong it is. Let me see what I can do about getting behind the bar so I can mix it myself.
no subject
Ooh, I love a man willing to take things into his own hands.
[Snickersnicker]
